To our first Show – a CA show at Staines! Everything made easy for us by Mary Rose Douglas, who prepares the kittens (and me), so I know what is needed for future events. They behave impeccably and sleep through most of it. Both get a good write up too. Introduction to the vets, where they gain yet more fans and have ringside seats at a swearing match between a Great Dane and a Heinz 57 varieties dog. Their eyes are like saucers! My net curtains now have a new pattern – ragged holes. This is thanks to their habit of chasing bluebottles all around the house. It’s amazing how often they catch them, but I do wish they wouldn’t sit there crunching them up in a disgusting manner! I awake to a strange sound and see the silhouette of a cat behind the Roman blinds in my bedroom. I pull the blind up and it promptly collapses – Wenceslas has chewed through all the cords! This behaviour is repeated until I spray the 5th set of replacement cords so hard with repellent, I have to spend the night in the spare room myself!
