Sophie is a very pretty cat but very wary of people. Not surprising, as, when she was sitting peacefully in my garden early last year, some kind soul shot her in the head. My excellent vet saved her, but this has affected her and she runs from strangers. Sophie has proved to be an excellent and very happy mother – her first daughter features on the next page – and her current kitten has now been brought downstairs to be with the rest of us and get socialised.
