Wenceslas and Twinkle were my first NowegianForest cats and led to the start of Forestdancer.
I loved the mention of these cats in Scandinavian folklore, especially the idea that Freya’s chariot was pulled by two giant white Wegies. Well, Wenceslas isn’t white but he’s certainly big enough to pull a chariot and Twinkle, his sister, is not far behind him!
They both enjoyed successful show careers, Wenceslas becoming a Grand Premier and Twinkle a Champion and Twinkle also has given birth to some gorgeous and much loved kittens.
They are now well settled in their new home and have embarked on a training course for their new staff! They go out for country walks on most days and I am really glad to say that both the cats and their staff seem to be having a wonderful time. |
